These mediums will increase the transparency of acrylic colors
while adding extra texture to paintings. Garnet Gels use natural
almandine garnet to add a violet-hued translucency to colors. Using the
fine gel will produce a minimal effect. The coarse gel has a larger
particle size that allows more of the translucent nature of the gel to
show. The extra-coarse grade is textured with large chunks of crystal
to reflect light. All three Garnet Gels dry to a hard film.
