Robert Gamblin, painter and paintmaker, formulated Gamblin Art Sketching Oils from the same pure colored pigments that he uses to make Gamblin Artists Colors. Sketching oils are made from approximately half the colored pigments of artist grade oil colors. Gamblin Art Sketching Oils are extended with high quality colorless pigments, including calcium carbonate. Driers are added because extenders slow the natural drying time of linseed oil and students want their paintings to dry quickly. Gamblin Art Sketching Oils are compatible with all oil painting mediums and other brands of student grade oils.
